JERSEY BOYS opened on Broadway in November 2005 and closed in January 2017 after 11 acclaimed years. The West End production closed in March this year after nine years in London. Winner of 64 honours and audience awards worldwide JERSEY BOYS has played to over 23 million people and grossed in excess of US$2 billion worldwide.The Australian production of JERSEY BOYS opened to rave reviews on 4 July 2009 and went on to break box office records twice. Its run concluded in Perth on 30 June, 2013 having played to 1.6 million people across Australia and New Zealand. During its run the production won many awards including two 2010 Helpmann Awards (one for Best Musical) and two 2011 Sydney Theatre Awards, again for Best Musical.
The Jersey Boys Original Cast Recording received a 2006 Grammy Award® for Best Musical Show Album. The album peaked at #1 on Billboard’s Broadway Albums Chart and as of February 2014 has appeared on the list for 421 weeks since it went on sale in 2005. The cast recording is currently the fifth-largest-selling cast recording in Sound Scan’s history. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has certified the Jersey Boys Original Cast Recording Platinum.
